Holiday Shopping
Finally, it's my FAVORITE time of year. The holiday season has arrived! Black friday has passed and now all the stores are having sales! Everybody is so cheerful and full of holiday spirit. I <3 christmas time. I love all the decoration and ice skating and hot chocolate. Yum..... sinking into my serenity
There are people out there who don't know what to be thankful for
There are people out there who don't know what to be thankful for. Which really makes me sad. And on a day (more like week since it's been almost a week since thanksgiving) that you are supposed to be happy, it's really quite depressing that I'm thinking that way. That is the pessimistic streak in side me. On the other hand, it reminds me that I should be thankful for what I do have and not angry at what I don't. What do you think?

When I step outside, the cold bites my skin
Boy, is it FREEZING outside. I am beginning to have that feeling that occurs annually, when I feel like an eskimo. Bundled up in my North Face jacket with a sweater underneath and a furry hat. The scarves making me feel like I want to choke when around my neck, but still trying to wear them, because they make you look a lot more like a fashionable eskimo, instead of a clunky one. And at last there are the gloves. The ones that you leave in your locker and forget about, until you step outside and say, "I should have brought gloves to school today," or "Where did I leave them," or "Shoot, I only put one in my backpack for the weekend." Poor gloves. Mine must be in denial.
There is part of me that wants to start busting out the Williams-Sonoma peppermint hot chocolate, with the chocolate covered peppermint sticks. Or the hot apple cider with the cinnamon sticks that if you put in your mouth plain, the taste is so strong, you feel like you're about to throw up. I feel like I should be going to the store and buying gifts for the holidays, based on the Kohl's commercials I see on TV. But then I come to realize that I haven't even gotten my mom's birthday present. Oh crap. Halloween was only two days ago. Whoa. I guess it's because of the geometry test and the day off from school and the hopeless hours of migraines from the weather changing that makes it feel like forever.
Have I already written two paragraphs? Whoops. I was trying to keep it short. Oh well. Screw it. Tell me a sad story or sing me a sad song.
As I look out the window, I see the weirdest thing. Why the heck are there green leaves covering the trees and it's sunny outside? Then I turn around, to see that practically every other tree has no leaves. Currently, it's about 39-41 degrees. I never got how the different weather sites have different temperatures. Oh well.
I'm beginning to realize that it's 10:56 am and I should probably start studying for the Constitution test in a couple of weeks. Ugh. I'm stalling because all I want to do is finish my lemon tea and calm down my stupid cold that I've gotten for the second time this month. BLEH.

Halloween
Long time no post. Things have been pretty hectic lately, with the Constitution test in two weeks, and who knows how many other quizzes and tests there have been since the first day of school. In my mind, it seems like a billion. Halloween was yesterday, and I was Cookie Monster, such a cheerful character. My friend (who was Oscar the Grouch), held up a sign saying "Keep me in a job" or something along those lines. I was considering being Wednesday Addams, and I'm kind of wish I had. On the other hand, I had so much fun with my three friends. On Monday, it'll be November 5th, and for those who know, it'll be a hard day. But I'll take it when it comes. Know matter what gets thrown at you remember two things:
1. If you want to be successful at what you love, "There is no elevator for success. You have to take the stairs." - Anonymous
2. "Always keep your face towards the sunshine." - Walt Whitman
If anybody is out there reading this, anyone at all, I hope that you're not laughing when you read these or think that they are stupid. I hope that you think that it's just somebody out there expressing themselves.
Happy November.
