Earth to me...

I've been so spacey lately it's not even funny. School is... well, school. I've written 2 papers so far for humanities and have had 6 quizzes in the last three days. Ugh. I've decided to list some Marilyn Monroe quotes that I really like and keeps me focused. They are very humorous as well. Enjoy!

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

"Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together."

“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”

“If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything.”

“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.”

“This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, somg go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babve, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up becuase if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”

“Beneath the makeup and behind the smile I am just a girl who wishes for the world.”

Counting Down

This year is going to be very challenging, but not because of the repertoire that is going to be taught. It'll be a mix between the social hierarchy of 8th grade, people coming and going for high school, supporting friends through their challenges and facing my own.

Back to school, for me, is like a clean slate; a chance to show my new fashion sense (not that I have much of one), make new friends (but keep the old (remember that song?)), set new goals, have new things to look forward to. It's another chapter of life. However, if you were to write a book about school (excluding college), there would be only 15 chapters in it. I am starting chapter 11. It's hard to believe how far I've come.

Now, there are only 3 days left until school begins. Each year is different from the others. This year, will be a year filled with new challenges, new twists, new opportunities, like the others. It's time to prepare for another unique year, different than the rest.
